THE Project

The Résidence des Closières project involves the construction of a serviced residence for the mentally disabled in Marcinelle, near Charleroi. 

The building will comply with sustainable construction criteria and will be designed to optimise energy consumption. 

The project is supported by MG Health CareThis group not only has experience in building eco-responsible property projects, but also has expertise in accommodating people with disabilities.

The group has already successfully financed two projects on our platform: Chemin de la Caracolein November 2022 and Résidence du Prince in May 2023.

  • Built using quality materials that respect sustainability criteria.
  • Underfloor heating, heat pumps and photovoltaic panels will be installed.
  • An EPB 'B' certificate is planned after the works.

An adapted residence

  • The residence will comprise 4 blocks, each able to accommodate 20 residents.
  • A fifth block will house a kitchen, communal areas and administrative offices.
  • The entire establishment is designed to provide maximum comfort and high-quality care for its 80 residents.

  • A company operating in the disabled care sector, recognised by the AVIQ.
  • A team made up of people with many years' experience in the sector.
  • François Mélotte and Ioannis Gournis, shareholders of MG Health Care, personally guarantee the bonds issued by MG Health Care SRL (first demand guarantee).

This project is part of BeeBonds' partnership with the United Fund for Belgium (UFB), a non-profit organisation fighting against social exclusion in Belgium.

MG Health Care, a Mélotte Group company, is active in the disabled care sector and currently manages two centres that will accommodate 120 residents (through its subsidiaries Namur Santé and Verviers Santé). The team in place is made up of people with many years' experience in this sector, enabling it to offer a quality service and specific care for each patient. The company is recognised by AVIQ, the Walloon organisation whose remit includes the disability sector.

Mélotte Group has been active in property development (residential, office, retail) in Belgium, France and Luxembourg since 2008, with a large number of projects to its name, giving it a wealth of expertise in the sector. The group offers projects with character and sustainability that respond to the evolution of urbanisation by providing quality finishes and welcoming, comfortable living and working spaces.
