Pitaya wants to grow, and grow fast. The strength of the concept? Takeaway and deliveries account for 50% of sales, even outside confinement.
We signed the Pitaya master franchise for the Benelux countries just over a year ago," explains Marco Tessaro, Managing Director of AlphaSeed. We opened the first restaurant on rue Jourdan in Brussels on 9 September, before the second lockdown, and the Belle-Ile restaurant in Liège on 9 December, in the middle of the lockdown. Our aim is to open 30 restaurants in Belgium, 35 in the Netherlands and 5 in Luxembourg within the next 7 years. One third directly operated and two thirds franchised or sub-franchised.
